Sleeper Replacement

Saturday 23rd April, Bridge 25

Sleepers in the process of being dug out. the new sleepers are on the right.

 

Looking East, with the bridge just out of view. 26 sleepers were changed over the day

44 sleepers were changed over the day

Saturday 19th March, Harmby Cutting

 

Sleeper replacement continues in this area with the view to removing the 15mph TSR

 

For once the weather was on our side

 

With the required work complete, the TSR was removed and line speed restored

 

 

 

Lifting and packing and rail replacement

Friday 11th March, Bridge 28 Leyburn

Heading towards bridge 28, which has recently been replaced by Network Rail

 

The plan is to jack and pack under the bridge, removing the dip in the track. then replace the 2 short rails with 1 60ft

 

First the track is jacked and packed

 

The replacement rail is moved into position

 

The rail being cut
