The drain was also cleared on the west side of the crossing.

The chipped wood makes an excellent mulch, hopefully suppressing any regrowth.

Crossing maintenance

March 7th, Aiskew road crossing

After years of heavy traffic pounding over the crossing, the rubber blocks are removed to maintain a level and smooth road surface. (apologies for some blurry images)

Once the blocks are out, the area underneath was cleaned.

Any broken clips were replaced with new ones.

A concrete mix was used to build up a level base.

With the correct depth and a level base the rubber blocks were replaced.

After, most trees were removed on the right side of the photo

The crossing has been extended to allow larger vehicles to access the users property. The new timber sits on the left next to the existing in the four foot.
