Saturday 15th October, Newton le Willows

After a cold start, the day developed into one of the best for a long time. Here we are packing one of the new sleepers.

16 sleepers were replaced, not bad for a work party of 5.

Fastening down the new sleepers, 20 were replaced on this day. 542 sleepers have been replaced this year to date. Last year we managed to replace 700, to beat this we will need another delivery of new sleepers. We rely mainly on donations to pay for these, so we can only wait until we have enough to pay for the next load.
